♥️ Awesome Hummus
🍽10 servings
⏱15 minutes

To make it quickly, need buy chickpeas which are in water and salt, thus already soft, instead of leaving it ourselves for 24 hours and cooking. The difference in taste is very small in my opinion.

You can modify quantities per taste and desired amount.

Note: a hand-blander or food processor is required.

Ingredients:

  • 700gr Chickpeas (already soft — in a can or a jar, in water and salt)
  • 300gr Tahina (important — not roasted)
  • 1 Garlic clover
  • ½ Lemon
  • Cumin powder
  • Salt
  • Pepper (optional)
  • 10 Pita bread (prefer fat ones)

Optional for serving:

  • Olive oil
  • Olives
  • Onions
  • Lemon
  • Minced garlic
  • Spicy sauce
  • Tomatoes
  • Chopped parsley leaves
  1. Squeeze half a lemon into a bowl

2. Peel the garlic clover and add

3. Add the chickpeas

4. Add 2 teaspoons of salt

5. Add 1 teaspoon of cumin powder

6. Optionally add a bit of black pepper

7. With a hand-mixer (or food processor), blend everything into a uniform paste

8. Pour about 300gr of Tahina. The amount depends on your taste

9. Manually stir with a fork until reaching a uniform paste. It is now very dense

10. Optionally, add up to ¼ glass water and stir, to make it less dense

The Hummus is ready!

It goes well with: olives, onions, lemon, minced garlic, spicy sauce, tomatoes or chopped parsley leaves.

The plate: put 4 spoons of Hummus on a plate and form a moat with a fork, then pour olive oil into it.

Bon appetit!
